I wanted to do that, but my employer didn’t think he needed to respect the law, and refused. I talked to his partner, who was more reasonable and understanding. His partner tried to convince him to let me take my legal time credit, but he still refused. I had offered to work from home that 1 day per week so I wouldn’t even be much less productive, but that, too, was unacceptable to him. So I set out to find a new job with better conditions, and I did.
