All I need today is a little bit of Chiefs and a whole lot of Jesus shirt

At one point one of the guys invited me to a ‘semi-formal’ party at his fraternity house. Every party I’d attended with my date at that frat house had been a beer party, and very casual. I didn’t take him very seriously and assumed this meant that perhaps he’d be wearing clean jeans and a button down shirt instead of torn jeans and an old tee shirt. I decided to dress up — just a little — and wore a nice new dress, but nothing fancy. He picked me up on his motorcycle as usual. Because he had on his customary leather jacket, I couldn’t tell how nicely he was dressed under his jacket.
