I looked at qualifications, not names. I was more interested that they COMPLETED a degree in a technical track, had certain certifications, had a security clearance. I then looked for key words in jobs, I added up the number of years of experience in said jobs, matching it against the experience I needed. I looked to see what quantifying info they had on their resume that would make them stand out more for me to have HR call them for a pre-interview phone call. It was to verify information, get a range on salary, if they were out of the area are they willing to relocate.
