Slow wifi/internet connectivity issues. This will derail a class faster than anything else, and it happens about twice per month. I’ll have a day’s worth of lesson plans planned and ready to deliver, all of which require students to go online, only to have the internet go down midway through the first class. It’s much easier if it doesn’t work for the entire class, so I can just go with my back-up, non-digital plan. It’s when the internet crashes mid-lesson that the students lose their minds and it’s difficult to get them back on track.
