It wasn't until we were going to a local shop during a summer and he was ready to leave— without shoes or socks. I was absolutely dumbfounded by this idea. I kept looking at him and laughing in disbelief — he was not joking. We got there and all eyes were on him (or shall I say his feet) because he was barefoot. Sure, it was summer and it was hot, but the guy walked like this into the shop.
