One thing that does shine in an old car’s favor is its ability to retain value or even increase in value. Older cars also can be completely rebuilt. Since there was little to no plastic used in their construction, every metal part can be rebuilt, refurbished, welded, replated and repainted. A 1957 Chevy bumper can be media blasted, straightened, repaired and replated to look like brand new. A urethane or ABS bumper on a modern car can only be thrown away and replaced.
