I can pick up new systems and new languages fairly quickly. But I am typically interviewed by those who really don’t know how to interview a seasoned long-term professional like myself. They expect you know all the nitty-gritty up front, when those answers are just a Google away. Well, I don’t have a college degree. When I got started in this field, there were no degrees for software engineering or computer science. I learned everything as an Autodidact. So I fill in those fields with “Autodidact”, but I really don’t feel comfortable doing it that way.
