I had a father call me up. His son was in my class. The father thanked me for being such a good teacher. I asked him what I had done that made him think I was such a good teacher. He told me his son did not know where the library was until he got in my class. He also told me his son had never written a term paper until he got in my class. Then he thanked me for making his son think. BTW, this was fall semester of his son’s senior year.
