My best friend (whom I’ve known for over 50 years) has an aunt (let’s call her Sandra): an elderly lady, who, about 15 years ago, had been suffering from breast cancer. She’d gone through her treatment and as far as she knew she was making a good recovery. One of those old ladies who had gone through the war, she was brave, stoical and grateful for the treatment she received from the NHS.
