It was brand new. I went to class. I found out the girlfriend went to retrieve the coat. She wouldn't touch it. Some of the girls who smoked peed on it. They knew who it belonged to.All afternoon I heard more of the story. Tommy had gone to tell the principal. The principal was also the football coach. Instead of getting me in trouble Tommy had to mow all the school grounds including the football field. This was with a push mower. The coach gave him a talking to . I was a hero that day to the band kids. But mostly I felt great about flushing a tormentor. I bought candy bars for the girls who smoked.
