It was gut wrenching, truly. Every one of us felt so guilty at our behaviour that we immediately apologised and tried to get her to stop crying. Our relationship with her was rocky and before we could form a strong rapport with her, she resigned from the school and went back to India. To this day, I don’t know if she had tried to manipulate the students into behaving properly or if she really had problems at home. Still, it was scary seeing an authority figure cry.
