I follow this up with a liberal spraying of silicone spray in a can of all plastic/rubber weatherstripping that surrounds the side windows of the car. This is done to allow the windows freedom of up and down movement. It makes the job of the window motor’s less taxing, and makes them last longer. I then follow up with a good glass cleaner on all windows using crumpled newsprint instead of paper towels for an excellent shine that everybody has to notice.
