I owned three Crown Vics from 2002 until 2011 when Ford stopped making them and I can say from personal experience that these were great cars. The Crown Vic has the same drive train as the Lincoln Towncar used by livery services in this era. Both of these cars would go forever (400K) if you just changed the oil every 3000 miles. Cab companies bought them because of this. And where it’s hot (Florida, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas) you can’t beat the air conditioning of the Ford Crown Vic. The P71 Police version of the car had a special oil cooler that kept the car from overheating. So Police could run the air conditioning full blast in this car on long stake outs in sweltering heat, cool and comfortable.
