We agreed that I would stop working right then and there (this was a Tuesday, second week of the month, and right after another “lunch break”). I got my personal belongings, said goodbye and took off. Before the end of that week, I received my final pay out, consisting of: my salary for the rest of that month, 6 months severance and my holidays paid out. I won’t say how much it was, but it was more than I’d ever had on my bank account until then.
